Housekeeping Supervisor (PLJA)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee pre-arrival, arrival, during-stay, and departure housekeeping operations for assigned properties.
- Ensure that properties are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Assist in training housekeeping staff, ensuring they understand company policies and procedures.
- Organise staff rosters, assign workloads, and monitor housekeeping staff and contractors.
- Issue keys in accordance with departmental procedures and ensure staff have adequate cleaning supplies.
- Set and maintain high standards for staff appearance and behaviour.
- Report maintenance issues and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Verify the legitimacy of individuals entering properties.
- Collaborate with the Housekeeping Coordinator for efficient scheduling.
- Manage purchase orders and requests, ensuring timely delivery of items.
- Organise end-of-season maintenance and spring-cleaning programs for soft furnishings and other areas.
- Conduct stock takes and ensure properties are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Attend to client requests and manage personal items left in properties.
- Ensure proper handling of personal and household laundry, particularly in overseas properties.
- Organise service rotas and supervise staff when clients are in residence.
- Assist clients with personal tasks such as sourcing items, shopping, and booking restaurants.
- Handle flower and chocolate orders, general shopping, and pet care duties.
- Assist in setting up new or rental properties as needed.
- Liaise with other departments and attend departmental meetings.
- Supervise timesheets and rotas and handle ad-hoc duties as required.
- Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
- Knowledge and Skills
- COSHH, manual handling, and health and safety certifications (Essential)
- Proven housekeeping experience (Essential)
- Supervisory or management experience (Essential)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Essential)
- Clean driving license (Desirable)
