Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general property maintenance and electrical installation work.
  • Conduct testing, inspection, and certification of distribution boards and fixed wiring installations.
  • Install and modify electrical systems for both single-phase and three-phase equipment.
  • Install and maintain LED lighting and emergency lighting systems.
  • Perform repairs and corrective work on internal and external wiring systems.
  • Diagnose wiring faults and manage electrical systems in plant rooms, including motors, pumps, and fan coil units (FCUs).
  • Follow site plans and schematic drawings accurately.
  • Oversee and coordinate with specialist contractors to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Participate in shifts, on-call rota, and nightshift pattern within the Maintenance Team during client occupations.
  • Perform any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience as an electrician.

Qualifications

  • Recognised C&G NVQ qualifications or completed an apprenticeship.
  • BS7671 18th Edition City & Guilds qualification.
  • C&G 2391 Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Electrical Installations, or equivalent (C&G 2394/2395).
  • Hold a JIB grading and an ESCS card.
  • Hold a full Clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to write reports and job sheets either manually or electronically.
