As IT Service Transition Lead, you’ll transition products into live service, ensuring all are base-lined and documented before release. You'll work on an advanced IT system across Land and Maritime domains, introducing new or modified services and establishing support teams throughout the transition lifecycle. You’ll manage the transition of changes into the live environment, ensuring minimal impact on user experience, and collaborate with stakeholders during design, development, and delivery phases. You will produce transition plans for new or updated products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Make recommendations on go-live, early life support, and service acceptance.
- Ensure all products are properly baseline and documented.
- Assess impact of changes, document change requests, and action changes.
- Establish the Transition Management function and draft terms of reference.
- Manage product acceptance, determining fitness for purpose and readiness against criteria.
- Develop operational readiness checks and conduct reviews for each change.
Candidate Profile
Relevant skills and experience in IT service transition and project management are expected. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, use initiative, and quickly identify issues is essential. Support for ongoing professional development, including potential qualifications like APM, will be provided.
