Job Summary
The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 12,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army.
100 (Yeomanry) Regiment Royal Artillery (Formerly NRHQ RA) are based in Woolwich, the spiritual home of the Royal Artillery, with 221 (Wessex) Battery (Bty) located in Larkhill, 255 (Somerset Yeomanry) Bty in Bath and an All Arms Staff Pool supporting Defence. We provide a range of capabilities from Tactical Air Control Parties and Naval Gunnery Liaison Officers to specialist Staff Officers and Gunnery Instructors. Our personnel spend most of their time supporting the Regular Army, Navy and Air Force on exercise and operations at home and abroad.
The Regimental Administration Officer (RAO) of 100 (Yeomanry) Regiment Royal Artillery and Woolwich Station is responsible to the Commanding Officer/Station Commander for the management and supervision of the HR Admin Office and auditing of the Public and Non-Public accounts to ensure compliance and probity. The role will be based at Woolwich.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an inclusive team working with Military and Civil Service colleagues who deliver key Personal Administration, Data Protection, Finance, and the auditing of Public and Service Charity funds. The work is varied and requires the ability to respond quickly to situations as they arise.
The position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
There is the opportunity for home working after training has been completed, attendance to the stated site will be required.
Training will be required, courses are delivered at Worthy Down, Near Winchester, Hampshire. These courses will be residential and can be conducted once in post; travel and accommodation costs will be covered in accordance with policy.
