We are looking for Mental Health Nurses to start a career at one of the NHS Trusts in the UK.

Locations: Bedfordshire, Cambridge, Hertfordshire, Essex, Milton Keynes, Norfolk, Norwich, Anglia, King’s Lynn, Suffolk, Blackpool, Leeds, Mid Yorkshire.

Requirements

  • Education: 10 years of schooling before entering the Nursing programme, Degree in Nursing (B, M, PhD), Professional registration in the country of practice, English language, Intermediate English proficiency with the intention to take either IELTS or OET test:
  • IELTS (minimum score of 7.0 in listening, speaking, reading and 6.5 in writing)
  • OET (minimum score of B in listening, speaking, reading and C+ in writing)
  • Work experience: At least 6+ months in Mental Health / Psychiatry

Successful candidates will be expected to do the NMC registration (Nursing Medical Council).

  • NMC registration:
  • Part 1: CBT (done online before nurses come to the UK)
  • Part 2: OSCE (nurses will sit this exam in the UK within 6 months from the employment start date)

Expenses

  • Covered by the Trust: OSCE, NMC registration, Visa costs, Travel expenses, Accommodation (up to 3 months)
  • Covered by the Nurse: IELTS/OET (£155), CBT (£83), NMC Application (£140), NMC Registration (£153)

Salary scale:

  • Before completing the NMC registration: £21,800 (Band 4)
  • Once candidate completes the NMC registration: £25,900 (Band 5) - £31,360 (Band 6)

Successful candidates will be employed as Band 3 and will have a pay rise opportunity (Band 5) after they pass the OSCE exam which could be as soon as 3 months.
