Role

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to join our campus operations team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment while also supporting front desk and administrative functions. The successful candidate will combine security responsibilities with strong customer service and administrative support, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day campus operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor campus security to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors
  • Manage reception duties and front desk operations
  • Handle visitor entry, maintain visitor logs, and monitor access control
  • Conduct regular patrols across campus premises
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or suspicious activity
  • Monitor CCTV systems and report any security concerns
  • Assist with opening and closing campus facilities
  • Handle telephone calls, emails, and general reception enquiries
  • Deal with student queries and provide operational support
  • Contact vendors and collect quotations for required services or purchases
  • Support admission‑related tasks when assigned by management
  • Assist with recruitment‑related activities when required
  • Support facilities management and maintenance coordination
  • Report health and safety concerns to management
  • Ensure campus rules and policies are always followed
  • Support event setup and operational arrangements when required
  • Maintain accurate daily operational and incident records
  • Provide general administrative support to campus management

About You

Essential

  • Previous experience in a security, facilities, or front desk role
  • Strong observational and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
  • Basic administrative and computer skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts
  • Understanding of health and safety practices
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports

Desirable

  • SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence
  • Experience working in an educational environment
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems and access control tools
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience in facilities coordination or administrative support
