Job Purpose: The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, delivering a professional, friendly, and efficient front-of-house service. This role supports the smooth running of campus operations through administrative duties, excellent customer service, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to all students, visitors, and staff.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception area.
  • Direct students and visitors to appropriate departments.

Administrative Support:

  • Carry out clerical tasks such as filing, printing, data entry, and record maintenance.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, interviews, and room bookings.
  • Support academic and student services teams during busy periods.
  • Handle confidential information securely and professionally.

Operational Support:

  • Monitor the reception inbox and telephone line, ensuring timely responses.
  • Maintain visitor logs and ensure compliance with sign-in procedures.
