Job Purpose

To support the delivery of the College’s wellbeing and inclusion strategy by coordinating, maintaining, and monitoring the TLA LSP database. The role ensures that students requiring wellbeing or learning support receive timely, accurate, and sensitive assistance, with appropriate communication across academic and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the TLA LSP database, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with GDPR.
  • Liaise with Student Success Tutors, lecturers, Academic Services, and the Learning and Teaching Office to ensure the effective implementation of agreed student support measures.
  • Log and track referrals from wellbeing consultations, assessments, and external support services.
  • Coordinate the creation, review, and closure of TLA LSPs following wellbeing meetings or reasonable adjustment assessments.
  • Support the Wellbeing Head and Wellbeing Lead and Academic Office in analysing TLA LSP trends to inform college-wide wellbeing strategies.
  • Maintain records of students’ support progress and follow up on wellbeing action plans.
  • Communicate sensitively with students about available support and the purpose of TLA LSPs.
  • Assist with wellbeing awareness events, mental health first aid initiatives, and wellbeing data reports.
  • Ensure compliance with duty of care, safeguarding, and equality policies.
  • Support the development of digital and administrative systems for wellbeing documentation and referrals.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in student support, counselling administration, or academic services.
  • Strong organisational and data management skills.
  • BACP Membership (Optional).
  • Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles.
  • Excellent communication and empathy in dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Familiarity with higher/further education settings and wellbeing referral processes.
