The Role

The Marketing and Communications Support Executive is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of marketing, communications, PR, influencer marketing, podcast production, and student recruitment activities across the College. The postholder will work closely with internal departments, external agencies, media partners, influencers, podcast guests, and prospective students to ensure campaigns and communications are delivered professionally, effectively, and in line with UKMC's brand and strategic objectives. The role requires a highly organised and proactive individual who can manage multiple priorities, maintain excellent attention to detail, and contribute to a range of marketing activities that support student engagement, conversion, and brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • PR and Communications Support
    • Support and coordinate PR activities, including meetings and communications with PR agencies, media partners, and external stakeholders.
    • Liaise with PR agencies to ensure campaign objectives, key messages, deadlines, and deliverables are clearly communicated.
    • Prepare briefing documents, media kits, articles, press materials, campaign summaries, and supporting information.
    • Review messaging and content to ensure accuracy, professionalism, compliance, and brand consistency.
    • Coordinate PR documentation, approvals, invoices, and follow-up actions.
    • Maintain strong working relationships with agencies and external partners.
  • Campaign and Communications Support
    • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of marketing and communications campaigns.
    • Assist with podcast planning, research, content development, episode scheduling, guest liaison, and administration.
    • Prepare podcast and video briefing documents, guest notes, talking points, questions, and supporting materials.
    • Coordinate with internal speakers, external guests, production teams, and departments to ensure content is delivered professionally.
    • Support the promotion of podcast and video content through email, website, social media, and campaign communications.
    • Plan and coordinate communications relating to College initiatives, events, recruitment activities, and student engagement campaigns.
    • Maintain organised records of campaign materials, schedules, approvals, and published content.
  • Influencer Marketing
    • Identify and engage suitable influencers to support marketing campaigns and brand awareness activities.
    • Coordinate influencer communications and campaign deliverables.
    • Negotiate basic influencer arrangements, timelines, and campaign expectations.
    • Review influencer content to ensure compliance with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
    • Track influencer performance and support reporting on outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Reporting and Monitoring
    • Monitor student conversion activity in collaboration with the student recruitment and conversion teams.
    • Review selected conversion calls to assess quality, messaging, and effectiveness.
    • Support the monitoring of lead quality, conversion rates, and campaign performance.
    • Ensure messaging used throughout the student journey remains consistent with wider marketing and communications activity.
    • Produce reports, insights, and recommendations to support continuous improvement.
  • General Marketing Support
    • Provide day-to-day support to the wider Marketing Team.
    • Assist with campaigns, content creation, events, PR activity, podcast projects, and recruitment activities.
    • Build, distribute, and monitor email marketing campaigns.
    • Create basic graphics, presentations, promotional materials, and campaign assets using Canva or similar tools.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, campaign summaries, content briefs, and marketing documentation.
    • Coordinate with internal departments to obtain information, approvals, and campaign content.
    • Maintain organised records of marketing materials, influencer agreements, podcast documentation, supplier invoices, and campaign assets.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives across marketing and communications functions.
    • Travel regularly across UK Management College campuses and external locations to support campaigns, events, content creation, and student recruitment activity.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, Journalism, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Previous experience in marketing, communications, PR, content creation, podcast coordination, digital marketing, or a similar support role.
  • Experience supporting marketing campaigns and communications activity.
  • Experience working with email marketing platforms.
  • Experience preparing written communications, marketing materials, and supporting documentation.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and external partners.
  • Understanding of marketing communications, branding, and audience engagement principles.
