The Role

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to join our campus operations team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment while also supporting front desk and administrative functions. The successful candidate will combine security responsibilities with strong customer service and administrative support, ensuring smooth day-to-day campus operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor campus security to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors
  • Manage reception duties and front desk operations
  • Handle visitor entry, maintain visitor logs, and monitor access control
  • Conduct regular patrols across campus premises
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or suspicious activity
  • Monitor CCTV systems and report any security concerns
  • Assist with opening and closing campus facilities
  • Handle telephone calls, emails, and general reception enquiries
  • Deal with student queries and provide operational support
  • Contact vendors and collect quotations for required services or purchases
  • Support admission-related tasks when assigned by management
  • Assist with recruitment-related activities when required
  • Support facilities management and maintenance coordination
  • Report health and safety concerns to management
  • Ensure campus rules and policies are always followed
  • Support event setup and operational arrangements when required
  • Maintain accurate daily operational and incident records
  • Provide general administrative support to campus management

Essential Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a security, facilities, or front desk role
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
  • Basic administrative and computer skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts
  • Understanding of health and safety practices
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports

Desirable Qualifications

  • SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence
  • Experience working in an educational environment
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems and access control tools
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience in facilities coordination or administrative support
