Role Description
This is a full-time Trainee Surveyor role based in Coventry, offered on a hybrid basis with some work from home possible. The Trainee Surveyor will assist experienced surveyors in carrying out land and underground utility surveys, including PAS:128 Utility (GPR) surveys and Drainage CCTV surveys. Day-to-day tasks may include:
- Setting up and operating survey equipment
- Collecting and recording site data
- Supporting site preparation and safety checks
- Helping to produce basic survey reports and drawings under supervision
The role also involves travelling to client sites, following health and safety procedures, maintaining equipment, and learning company standards and best practices. The successful candidate will be expected to develop technical skills over time and contribute to delivering accurate, reliable survey information for clients.
Qualifications
- Interest in surveying, civil engineering, construction, or related fields, with a willingness to learn technical survey methods and equipment
- Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn specialist surveying and data processing software
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a methodical approach to recording and checking data

- Full UK driving license or working toward obtaining one, and flexibility to travel to various client locations
