About UK & Ireland 2028 Limited
UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to plan and deliver the tournament safely, inclusively and to world-class standards.
About UEFA EURO 2028
UEFA EURO is one of the world’s largest sporting events. In 2028, it will be hosted across multiple cities in the UK & Ireland, requiring large-scale coordination across transport, infrastructure, stadiums and public services. UEFA owns the tournament and sets requirements; UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is responsible for delivering it locally.
The Role
The post holder will play a central role in supporting the relationship between UK&I 2028 and Government Partners (UK Government, Government of Ireland, Scottish Government, Welsh Government and Northern Ireland Executive). Working closely with the Government Relations manager, the successful post holder will support Government Partners to deliver their tournament responsibilities & objectives and guide UK&I 2028 teams and Government Partners to work effectively together.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide administrative support to the Government Relations team, including scheduling meetings, managing diaries and organising travel or logistics.
- Maintain accurate records, shared drives and documentation in line with data management and confidentiality standards.
- Support the Government Relations Manager in responding to incoming communication and enquiries from Government Partners, liaising with internal colleagues as required.
- Contribute to team meetings, taking minutes, and tracking action items through to completion.
- Support the organisation of workshops, stakeholder meetings and events.
- Support the Government Relations Manager in tracking and reporting on progress of Government Partner delivery of Government Guarantees.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes to enhance team efficiency.
- Undertake additional duties as required to meet evolving project needs.
- Demonstrate inclusive behaviours that support a respectful, safe and collaborative work environment.

- Event and meeting coordination experience.
- Ability to organise logistics and support successful delivery of workshops, events and stakeholder meetings.
- Basic understanding of project management processes, such as monitoring progress, reporting, and supporting delivery teams.
- Knowledge of data management and reporting tools, with attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR).
