UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to plan and deliver the tournament safely, inclusively and to world‑class standards.

UEFA EURO is one of the world’s largest sporting events. In 2028, it will be hosted across multiple cities in the UK & Ireland, requiring large‑scale coordination across transport, infrastructure, stadiums and public services. UEFA owns the tournament and sets requirements; UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is responsible for delivering it locally.
The Role
We’re looking for a truly exceptional Recruiter to help build the workforce behind one of the world’s biggest sporting events. We’re looking for someone who loves finding great people, building talent pipelines and partnering with hiring managers to make excellent hiring decisions. You’ll work across a wide range of functions and disciplines, helping us attract, assess and appoint the talent needed to deliver UEFA EURO 2028. This is an operational role that requires someone proactive, commercially aware and highly organised, with strong sourcing and selection capability. You will need to demonstrate the ability to manage high volumes of recruitment within a complex and evolving environment. You do not need experience in sport, football or major events. What you’ll be doing
- Leading end to end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of roles.
- Building and nurturing talent pools for current and future hiring needs.
- Proactively sourcing and engaging passive talent through a variety of channels.
- Partnering with hiring managers to understand requirements, challenge thinking and develop effective hiring strategies.
- Designing and delivering structured and inclusive assessment and selection processes.
- Coaching and supporting hiring managers to make evidence‑based hiring decisions.
- Using market insight, talent mapping and data to improve hiring outcomes.
- Championing inclusive recruitment practices and helping us attract talent from the widest possible range of backgrounds and experiences.
- Supporting workforce planning and helping ensure recruitment activity aligns with organisational priorities and delivery timelines.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience delivering high volume end‑to‑end recruitment across multiple functions or business areas.
- Strong direct sourcing and talent pipelining capability.
- Experience managing multiple vacancies and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience partnering effectively with hiring managers to influence and support hiring decisions.
- Strong understanding of assessment and selection methodologies.
- Experience delivering strengths‑based recruitment and/or assessment methodologies is desirable.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms and online sourcing tools.
- Track record of delivering recruitment activity against hiring plans and timelines.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Location & Working Pattern
