UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to plan and deliver the tournament safely, inclusively and to world‑class standards.

About UEFA EURO 2028

UEFA EURO is one of the world’s largest sporting events. In 2028, it will be hosted across multiple cities in the UK & Ireland, requiring large‑scale coordination across transport, infrastructure, stadiums and public services. UEFA owns the tournament and sets requirements; UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is responsible for delivering it locally.

The Role

Working in the Host Cities Team for UK&I 2028 Limited, you will be at the centre of the coordination and communication of the UEFA EURO 2028 Host City programme. Our team works closely with tournament stakeholders including Host Cities, UK Sport and UEFA as well as UK&I functional areas. The Host City Coordinator will undertake specific projects to support the wider team and will also provide day‑to‑day administrative assistance including coordination of stakeholder communications, meeting preparation and travel bookings.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Host Cities team, including scheduling meetings, managing diaries, and organising travel, accommodation or logistics.
  • Provide secretariat support for Host City meetings including but not limited to: Host City team meetings and Host City Coordination Group meetings.
  • Support the organisation of workshops, stakeholder meetings, events and briefings.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external queries related to the Host Cities team.
  • Support the preparation of reports, briefing materials and presentations for the team, including management of the team action log and risk register.
  • Support procurement and budget tracking activities, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and reconciling expenses.
  • Maintain accurate records, shared drives, and documentation in line with data management and confidentiality standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the Host Cities team and across the wider UK&I team.
  • Support onboarding of new team members where required.
  • Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet the changing priorities.

Essential experience and skills

  • Experience working in a coordination, administration or operational support role.
  • Motivated and passionate about working within sporting events.
  • Event and meeting coordination experience.
  • Able to organise logistics and support successful delivery of workshops, events, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, with an approachable manner and high standards of customer service.
