About UK & Ireland 2028 Limited

UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for planning and delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. Working on behalf of the five Football Associations, we collaborate closely with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to ensure the tournament is delivered safely, inclusively and to world-class standards.

About UEFA EURO 2028

The UEFA European Championship is one of the world’s biggest sporting events. In 2028, it will take place across the UK & Ireland, bringing significant operational scale and requiring close coordination between host cities, stadiums, government partners and UEFA.

The Role

We are looking for two Host City Managers that will work alongside the UEFA EURO 2028 Host Cities to create a world class tournament experience for ticket holders, fans and communities. The Host City Managers will coordinate tournament requirements between UK&I 2028 departments and Host Cities. They will provide support and guidance to local authorities and local stakeholders to deliver the ambitions for the tournament, facilitate integration with the wider tournament planning where required, and ensure compliance with UEFA’s technical requirements.

The successful candidates will have outstanding stakeholder relationship skills with a solutions-focused approach. They will have experience delivering major international events and be able to work confidently in a dynamic and complex multi-agency environment.

What we’re looking for

Essential experience and skills:
  • Experience in delivering major international events.
  • Experience of project delivery with a local authority, ideally in an events environment.
  • Exceptional skills in building constructive relationships and communication channels individually and collectively with external stakeholders.
  • Experience of collaborating on complex multi-agency projects.

Where is the role based?

Our head office is based at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, however, depending on your role, you may be required to travel across the UK and Ireland to our 9 Stadiums and 8 Host Cities, with some roles being based in those locations.
