DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

We are looking for a strategic sales hunter to drive growth through the partnership, utilising data-led selling approaches to maximise revenue and partner enablement. This role will report to Ignition Vendor Sales Manager.

As the Vendor Manager, you will:

  • Drive vendor revenue growth and profitability across UK based partners via resale and managed services
  • Be seen as trusted strategic advisor into partner sales teams across corporate, public sector, SMB and Enterprise.
  • Promote complementary vendor solutions and articulate the Ignition Technology value proposition.
  • Work to achieve individual and team targets against agreed profit requirements.
  • Be the key contact for the specified vendor within your remit, developing relationships at all levels of the vendor & partners organisations.
  • Enable partner sales teams on vendor solution offerings and competitive differentiation.
  • Conduct annual and quarterly business planning and review meetings with the channel ecosystem.
  • Work closely with the internal & external sales teams to set and co-ordinate demand gen activity.
  • Proactively work with channel team & marketing teams to implement data driven selling strategies to identify and close opportunities.
  • Develop end user lead generation programs with resellers.
  • Support sales & technical training programmes.
  • Produce monthly sales forecast reports and statistics for Ignition Technology & vendor management.
  • Perform any ad hoc duties as defined by your line manager.

General:

  • The ability to form, build and farm relationships.
  • Network effectively and intelligently both internally/externally within the vendor and partner base.
  • The ability to clearly articulate the vendor message to suit the audience, for example technical, commercial or financial.
  • Ensure that a professional “research driven” approach is adopted to each meeting and opportunity.
  • Liaise with internal departments e.g. Sales Ops, channel sales, marketing to fulfil customer needs.
