Ignition Technology is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of pre‑ and post‑sales engineers within the IT and Cyber Security sector, based in our Farnborough office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor pre‑ and post‑sales engineers to deliver high technical and customer standards.
  • Manage team resources, performance, and skills development.
  • Promote a collaborative, results‑driven culture aligned with company goals.
  • Provide technical leadership in designing and presenting cybersecurity solutions.
  • Work with sales to understand customer needs and create tailored proposals.
  • Deliver demos, POCs, and workshops; maintain vendor technical alignment.
  • Oversee solution deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure timely issue resolution and manage escalations.
  • Drive partner enablement and customer adoption through training and support.
  • Act as the main technical contact for vendors and partners.
  • Support certification, onboarding, and enablement initiatives.
  • Represent the company at vendor and industry events.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in technical pre‑/post‑sales or solutions engineering, ideally in cybersecurity or IT distribution.
  • Leadership or team management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of network, endpoint, cloud, and identity security (e.g., firewalls, EDR/XDR, SASE, IAM, MFA).
  • Familiarity with vendor technologies such as CrowdStrike, SailPoint, BeyondTrust, and Abnormal Security.
  • Skilled at translating technical detail into business value.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.
  • Commercial and channel partner awareness.
  • Strategic, collaborative, and execution‑focused mindset.
