Lead Technical Recruiter – Architecture, Delivery and Product
As a Business Architect, you will work across the Home Office to align strategy, transformation, and operations, ensuring critical services keep citizens safe and the country secure. From advising on organisational design in immigration, guiding delivery in law enforcement, to supporting common standards and tooling, you will use frameworks such as Bizbok to enable structured problem-solving, intentional design, and data-driven decisions, maintaining a holistic view across departmental silos.
You will mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and foster collaboration within a supportive architecture community. The role offers full-time or flexible working, with at least 60% office presence where applicable, and welcomes applications from diverse backgrounds, with appointments made on merit through fair and open competition.

Help build a future-ready Home Office where innovation delivers daily impact. In this role, you will connect business strategy with delivery, using business architecture principles to strengthen public services and national security. You will shape strategies, guide digital transformation, and create a shared language to identify gaps and opportunities. From translating policy into actionable designs to aligning business and technology, you will ensure decisions are informed, user-focused, and future-ready, simplifying complexity to deliver services that are intuitive, integrated, and resilient.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain business architecture artefacts (e.g., capability models, value streams) that clarify complex issues and guide change initiatives.
- Influence portfolio/programme delivery, shaping priorities and aligning solutions with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with technical architects, ensuring alignment between business needs and technology roadmaps.
- Lead or support workshops on organisational design, capturing insights that inform strategy, solution development, and continuous improvement.
- Manage and update a central knowledgebase of standards, tools, and best practices, promoting consistency across teams.
- Mentor colleagues, sharing business architecture principles and methods to build internal capability.
What you will bring

- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Aptitude for presenting nuanced information to varied audiences, fostering consensus, and managing conflicting priorities or constraints.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Demonstrable success in coaching and developing junior colleagues, nurturing collaborative practices, and embedding business architecture best practices across teams.

This role requires SC clearance. To meet national security vetting requirements, you typically need to have been resident in the UK for at least three years. Unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship.
