We are looking for an experienced Performance Analyst to collectively design and implement a performance framework and its associated products to reduce inefficiency, join up the business and create a culture of performance. This is a new Performance and Insights Team within the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) Group and sits in the Public Health Microbiology (PHM) Operations, Programmes & Performance Division. The primary duties for the role are to drive evidence-based decisions across the CSO Group to support improved health outcomes and reduced health inequalities. The team is responsible for determining the key performance metrics and early warning indicators. Ensure performance reporting reflects the priorities of senior leaders and supports decision making.
As a supportive line manager, our ideal candidate will have experience of applying a range of analytical techniques in an operational or delivery environment, and thrive on identifying and structuring problems, and then making an impact through leading implementable analytical results.
Responsibilities- Setting up and overseeing governance arrangements, including undertaking a secretariat function.
- Developing and overseeing regular group wide monitoring and update reports, analysing data and identifying opportunities, risks and issues to feed into governance boards.
- Supporting the development and interpretation of operational metrics and reporting dashboards in order to communicate performance clearly (for a number of key areas).
- Supporting senior managers and providing briefing and advice where needed.
- Undertaking ad-hoc analysis of a range of data and information, to identify trends, themes and building risks.
- Line management responsibility as well as responsibility for engaging project teams.
- The postholder will need to be flexible to take on new workstreams as they may evolve.
