The Knowledge and Library Services (KLS) team provides library and knowledge management (KM) expertise to support research and development, evidence-informed practice, management and business services, with the overall aim of facilitating the translation of knowledge into practice. We require an individual to support the Head of Knowledge and Evidence Services and Senior Knowledge Management and Mobilisation Lead in the development and implementation of knowledge management and knowledge mobilisation principles into UKHSA activities in support of the UKHSA Science Strategy.
Effective KM stops us reinventing wheels, helps to retain critical know-how, counters the effects of silo working and drives innovation. You will be based in the Knowledge and Library Services team, working alongside colleagues specialising in Knowledge Management, Knowledge and Evidence, Evidence Review and the Research Support and Governance Office.
You will be expected to provide strategic guidance and advice on knowledge management within UKHSA, developing an internal network of individuals working in this area, and collaborate and support individuals and communities across the Agency. Your role in the KM Team is to promote a culture and habit of knowledge-sharing across UKHSA. You will provide and signpost to a range of resources, tools and expertise that help us all to seek, share and use knowledge.
You will support, promote and advise on ways to improve communication, sharing and learning from others and to build connections and networks. You will connect with others across UKHSA to support the use of knowledge management tools and techniques, and knowledge mobilisation activities to drive research into policy and practice. You will run training and deliver presentations on KM tools and principles, facilitate KM events, and support others to run events. You will develop in-house resources, such as templates and guidance.
