Salary: £40-45,000 (depending on experience) (pro rata for part time)

Job purpose
This role will initially be the main contact point for all aspects of quality assurance activity within the new and growing Higher Education and Pathways Division. You will ensure that all policies and procedures meet the appropriate regulatory requirements (Office for Students, QAA) as well as awarding bodies (university partners, ATHE, etc.). You will produce and present reports both internally and to external bodies or partners, including at boards. You will take responsibility for data analysis of performance as well as using initiative to drive improvements.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Ensure that UKGC policies and procedures are kept up to date and consistently implemented across all higher education provision and campuses.
- Ensure that the regulations, policies, procedures and systems of partner awarding bodies are fully and consistently implemented across programmes delivered by UKGC.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, review and updating of UKGC’s quality assurance policies and procedures and conduct relevant audits
- Ensure the contribution of all quality assurance activities contributes to a continuous improvement cycle, producing improvements and enhancements
- Act as secretary, as required, supporting UKGC academic and corporate governance boards and committees including, for example, Academic Board, Programme / Exam Boards,
- Produce in-depth and high-quality reports using a range of data for both internal and external audiences
- Co-ordinate and manage academic misconduct, complaints and academic appeals processes/panels, ensuring timely responses and satisfactory outcomes.
- Lead and support programme approval, accreditation, annual monitoring, and review activity including student voice and survey feedback
- Maintain sector knowledge and skills relating to HE academic development and delivery, with particular reference to regulatory bodies.
- Build strong working relationships internally with key campus and centre UKGC staff as well as with external bodies, partners and staff
- Work effectively, diligently and with attention to detail, while meeting deadlines
- Any other duties linked to the role allocated by the Dean or other UKGC staff

- Experience of developing internal quality assurance policies in further education (level 3)
