Contract: Permanent, 39 hours per week - Monday-Sunday
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join the Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Feltham, a Category C prison and YOI for inmates aged 15 to 30. The role involves maintaining the safety and appearance of the prison environment, working alongside other skilled tradespeople such as plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and cleaners.
As a Painter & Decorator, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing surfaces
- Applying paint and decorative finishes
- Ensuring all work complies with health & safety standards
- Collaborating closely with the maintenance team to identify and prioritize painting projects
Qualifications:
- A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent (or significant experience in a similar role)
- Experience working in a maintenance team
- An honest and reliable character, with a sense of purpose and a strong work ethic
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
