The Manager, Member Governance will support the Managing Director of Membership & Governance to deliver a refresh of processes and procedures that support our member governance framework, the delivery of standalone projects as well as the roll out of any recommendations across the business. It will also manage the Member Governance inbox during their tenure.

The Member Governance Manager will be responsible for four key deliverables during their tenure:

  • Member governance processes and procedures
    • Refreshing current processes and procedures
    • Developing new processes and procedures, where a gap is identified
    • Developing and promoting best practice across the business such as the use of templates or other standardised materials
    • Reviewing UK Finance groups and committees’ terms of reference to ensure consistency and adoption of best practice
    • Creating a schedule of member governance activities that is understood (and accessible) across the business
    • Developing a clear set of management information to enable the Membership Officer to have greater oversight of the function
  • Annual Governance review
    • Undertaking the 2026 annual member governance review, which includes:
    • analysing data with regards UK Finance groups and committees, checking them against our Member Governance Charter, terms of reference and other relevant materials to assess compliance
    • making recommendations to the business and developing an action plan to implement those
    • implementing new business processes, where necessary
