We’re looking for a commercially minded Marketing Campaign Analyst to plan and deliver campaigns that promote UK Finance’s events, training and professional development programmes. You’ll combine audience insight, clear copy and effective multichannel delivery to increase engagement, bookings and revenue.
You’ll take ownership of assigned campaigns from brief to evaluation: understanding the audience and commercial objective, developing the plan, coordinating delivery and using performance data to improve future activity. Your portfolio may include workshops, webinars, conferences, industry dinners, awards and professional qualifications.
Based in the Content team and reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll work closely with marketing, design, digital, social media and internal communications colleagues, as well as commercial, membership and subject matter experts across UK Finance. This is an opportunity to deliver varied, visible campaigns and build your commercial, analytical and campaign management skills in an influential membership organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign planning and delivery
- Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns that support agreed engagement, booking and revenue targets.
- Translate briefs into clear campaign plans, with defined audiences, messages, channels, timelines, measures of success and stakeholder responsibilities.
- Manage assigned campaigns and projects from brief to evaluation, coordinating contributors, approvals and delivery against agreed deadlines.
- Build and deliver email campaigns, including audience segmentation, list selection, testing, quality assurance and scheduling.
- Write and edit accurate, engaging copy for email, web, social media and other campaign materials, adapting the message for different professional audiences.
- Coordinate digital content with colleagues across UK Finance and work with digital and social media teams on publication and promotion.
Audience insight and performance
- Use CRM, email, website and customer data to understand audience behaviour, improve segmentation and identify opportunities to increase engagement and conversion.
- Monitor campaign performance, including reach, engagement, bookings and conversion, and turn the findings into practical recommendations.
- Support test-and-learn activity across audiences, messages, channels and timings, applying the results to future campaigns.
- Contribute to monthly marketing reporting, ensuring data is accurate and explaining what the results mean for future activity.
Stakeholder and project management
- Work with commercial colleagues and subject matter experts to shape and promote learning programmes, webinars and industry events.
- Keep stakeholders informed, follow up on actions and raise decisions, risks or delivery issues early.
- Lead project meetings when needed, setting a clear purpose, providing concise updates and agreeing actions and next steps.
- Work across teams to solve problems, improve processes and deliver activity efficiently against agreed priorities.
Experience and Skills
- At least two years’ experience delivering marketing campaigns to professional audiences.
- Experience planning and managing campaigns across multiple channels, from brief through to evaluation.
- Confidence using campaign and customer data to assess audiences, measure performance and make clear, practical recommendations.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to make complex topics clear, accurate and relevant for different audiences.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how campaign decisions influence engagement, bookings and revenue.
- Experience managing several projects and stakeholders at the same time, with sound judgement about priorities, deadlines and when to seek a decision.
- Excellent attention to detail across copy, data, campaign production and approvals.
- Experience using email marketing software, CRM systems, content management systems and reporting tools.
- Experience in financial services, a membership organisation or another regulated or complex sector.
- Experience marketing events, training, professional development or other paid-for services.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or ClickDimensions.
How you work
- You communicate clearly and confidently, lead productive discussions and challenge a brief constructively.
- You are organised and take ownership, moving work forward while keeping colleagues informed.
- You are curious and evidence-led, seeking to understand the problem, test ideas and improve the approach.
- You are collaborative and practical, building effective working relationships and solving problems constructively.
Qualifications
A relevant marketing qualification or degree would be welcome, but equivalent practical experience is equally valued. Strong copywriting, data analysis and project management skills are most important for this role.
