The Sustainability team is responsible for developing, overseeing and delivering UK Finance’s advocacy and policy development activities on issues relating to environmental sustainability and climate change. We are seeking a manager to support us in delivering thought leadership and influencing the development of sustainable finance policy in the UK and globally. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with our members to devise clear positions on the policy and regulatory landscape, draft position papers, respond to consultations, and engage closely with governments, regulators and other authorities to advocate for our objectives. The role-holder will also support the team in managing the governance of member groups, and on the development of programmes for key events throughout the year (e.g. COP, London Climate Action Week, etc.) Some Key Responsibilities
- Policy leadership: Monitor UK and international sustainable finance policy developments; offer thought leadership; and draft position papers and consultation responses, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Stakeholder management: build and draw on network of stakeholders to strengthen our outputs and advocacy, including UK Finance colleagues and members, business, government, regulators, lawmakers and civil society.
- Advocacy: working closely with the Principal and the Director, design and undertake programme of advocacy for areas of our work, delivering key policy asks and identifying creative mechanisms for achieving our priorities.
