Manager, Payments and Innovation

Manager, Innovation Policy – UK Finance This is an exciting and fast‑paced area of work straddling the opportunities presented to financial services by new technologies, and how regulation can manage the evolving risks effectively and efficiently. Reporting to the Principal, Privacy and Data Ethics, and working alongside other subject matter experts in the team, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing policy advice, thinking and support on the rapidly evolving regulatory environment for AI and for data privacy. The successful applicant will also be expected to expand their work over time across the Payments and Innovation team as needs evolve. This could include in particular work on digital identity and Smart Data. Key Responsibilities Working with a team Principal, providing secretariat support for the AI Policy Committee and Data Protection and Ethics Committee, including taking ownership of specific work streams. Developing high quality policy papers, consultation responses and briefings on innovation policy and strategic issues, with a particular focus on AI, privacy and data policy. Providing analysis and critique of digital, payments and innovation policy issues and assisting senior colleagues to build consensus with members. Accurately recording views and actions from meetings, executing at pace. Support the maintenance of relationships with UK Finance members, stakeholders and other industry bodies. Project management, including working with associate members to deliver specific outputs. Representing UK Finance at external events and meetings, including leading on specific items and becoming a subject matter expert. Supporting colleagues to deliver high quality, well‑attended events and webinars that showcase UK Finance work to industry representatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
