The role will seek to develop and manage new and existing sponsorship and commercial partnership opportunities across UK Finance. We have a comprehensive event and learning programme including conferences, dinners, webinars, training and networking events, designed to deliver value to our members. This role, working as part of the Commercial Delivery Team, is essential to expose our members to innovative new players in the sector and ensure the right mix of commercial partners take part in respective sponsorship opportunities.

The candidate will also be responsible for supporting the Head of Commercial Partnerships, in securing sponsorship and commercial partnership opportunities and revenue. The candidate will do this by completing desktop research on competitors, attending events and networking and proactively reaching out to members and non-members – for example through LinkedIn or other professional networks. This role will be a natural home for someone who is a self-starter and proactively approaches opportunities to generate commercial income, working with some of the biggest companies in the world to support the banking industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • With the Head of Commercial Partnerships, deliver the Commercial Strategy that aligns with UK Finance’s strategic and commercial objectives.
  • Work closely with product owners (e.g., Commercial Director, Head of Events and Event Delivery Leads, Director of Economic Insight, policy leads) to build sponsorship propositions that will achieve the agreed budget.
  • Research and identify new sponsorship opportunities across UK Finance activities.
  • Coordinate with the wider membership and policy teams to offer sponsorship opportunities to all members.
  • Drive sponsorship across all products and services – Off the Shelf and bespoke.
  • Respond to inbound enquiries for sponsorship.
  • Create sponsorship prospectuses and sales communications for the wider team to disseminate – with support from the content and events team.
  • Working within CRM to maintain and produce monthly sponsorship MI including pipeline, whilst all relevant information is inputted and tracked in the CRM.
  • Working with the Marketing team to develop proposition marketing collateral and co-ordinate with relationship managers.
