We are looking for a dynamic and organised individual to manage a variety of economic crime engagement and advocacy activities across a broad portfolio.

The UK Finance Economic Crime team is responsible for leading the industry’s collective fight against economic crime in the UK, including anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, fraud, collaboration with law enforcement, and information and intelligence sharing.

The Strategy & Policy team leads the wider team’s overarching public-private partnership activity and the alignment of advocacy messaging and approaches. It has a particular focus on delivering cross-cutting elements of the UK’s economic crime strategies and plans, as well as on information and intelligence-sharing strategy and policy.

This role helps to coordinate and communicate the value and impact of the team’s work in these areas, maintain effective relationships with members and external partners, and ensure that agreed plans and products are delivered consistently.

In particular, the role will work closely with the Director of Economic Crime Policy & Strategy and the wider Economic Crime Senior Leadership Team to deliver the workplans and priorities of both the Economic Crime Products and Services Board and the Economic Crime Committee.

The Economic Crime Product and Services Board (PSB) is the most senior member group overseeing UK Finance’s Fraud and Financial Crime streams and providing strategic direction on priorities. The Economic Crime Committee is focused on co-ordination of activity aligned with the Government’s strategies and Public Private forums, with special focus on the Economic Crime Plan.

  • Management of the Economic Crime Committee, including leading the development and delivery of advocacy plans against individual priorities, helping the team to map policy engagement and align key messages.

Coordinating engagement with key public private groups

  • Lead coordination of UK Finance’s engagement with key public private groups – especially the Public Private Operations Board, Public Private Steering Group and Suspended Funds public-private group including meeting preparation, papers, briefing seniors and members and tracking action progress.

Other responsibilities
