The Trade Finance Division (TFD) is part of UKEF’s Business Group and plays a vital role in supporting UK exporters through short-term products such as the Bond Support Scheme, Export Working Capital Scheme, General Export Facility, and Export Insurance Policies.

We are looking for a Manager – Post Issue Management (PIM), Watchlist, Short Term Business to lead watchlist activities and oversee short-term transactions after underwriting. This is a key role in ensuring effective risk management and maintaining strong relationships with our banking partners and our Restructuring, Claims & Recoveries Division.

About the role

You will manage a small team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. The role involves monitoring credit risk, engaging with banks on deteriorating profiles, and compiling weekly watchlist reports for senior management. You will also chair regular review meetings, liaise with internal teams such as Underwriting, Risk, Policy, and Claims, and act as the first point of contact for banks on companies in the short-term portfolio. In addition, you will support audits of financial institutions and contribute to process improvements and policy development, helping us deliver a high-quality service to exporters and stakeholders.
