Join to apply for the Post Issue Portfolio Manager role at UK Export Finance. We have an exciting opportunity to join UKEF's Portfolio Management Division to manage a high‐impact post‐signature book of c.135 medium/long‐term civil and defence transactions with £30bn net of reinsurance. Reporting to the Head of PIM & UK Content, you'll shape outcomes on complex, cross‐border deals that support UK jobs and exports.
Responsibilities
- Lead recommendations on waivers, consents and amendments for large, sophisticated cases (incl. project finance).
- Analyse, negotiate and document issues with borrowers, agents/lenders and external counsel.
- Work with international ECAs as lead insurer or reinsurer; represent UKEF in high‐stakes meetings.
- Monitor UK Content and portfolio performance, applying sound commercial judgment within policy and legal frameworks.
- Manage at least one SEO direct report—setting direction, coaching and ensuring performance.
- Coordinate inputs from Credit Risk, prioritise a busy caseload for timely turnaround; maintain clear, accurate case records and share information effectively.
- Support and deputise for the Head of PIM and Deputy Director.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will bring strong project/corporate finance experience, confidence with loan documentation and amendments, and the credibility to influence senior stakeholders. As a clear communicator, you will also be a thoughtful negotiator and decisive problem‐solver with proven people leadership skills.
