We are looking for 2 Software Engineers based in either Westminster, London or Leeds offices, to help design, build and maintain modern, end‑to‑end digital services that meet real user needs and support critical business outcomes. You will work on scalable, secure applications that integrate seamlessly with internal platforms and third‑party services, contributing directly to how UKEF delivers value.
The successful applicants will develop and maintain NodeJS applications using frameworks such as Express.js or Nest.js, building and integrating APIs and third‑party services. The postholders will write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code, covering unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing. Identifying technical risks early, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and maintainable is key.
Alongside this, you’ll troubleshoot and debug issues, produce clear technical documentation, and keep up to date with emerging NodeJS and web development trends. These roles will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, communicating clearly on technical decisions and project goals.
You’ll be encouraged to research and adopt new tools and frameworks where they add value, helping shape UKEF’s growing digital capability. If you’re motivated by building high‑quality services with real‑world impact—and want to be part of a growing, purpose‑driven digital team—we’d love to hear from you.
