Ambulance Care Assistant
A new position is available for this vacancy. To be considered, you must attend a 1-week Induction Training course, running from 9am to 5pm daily. The venue is yet to be confirmed. Attendance at training will be paid at £12.21 per hour.

The job
Our Ambulance Care Assistants (ACAs) are caring, compassionate, and friendly, playing a key role in the safe and comfortable transportation of non-emergency patients to and from hospitals or care facilities. Responsibilities include:
- Driving ambulances and specialist vehicles
- Providing reassurance, comfort, and support to patients
- Conducting patient and vehicle risk assessments
- Using mechanical and manual handling skills for patient movement, tail lifts, and wheelchair systems
- Communicating with control centres
- Cleaning and restocking vehicles
- Completing reports and documentation accurately

About you
Our ACAs come from diverse backgrounds, including care, retail, entertainment, customer service, and hospitality. Key qualities include empathy, kindness, a positive and adaptable attitude, strong work ethic, teamwork, clear and confident communication, and effective listening skills. Formal qualifications are not required as training is provided. A full, clean driving license is necessary.
