First Artists Management (FAM) is a leading independent talent agency specialising in the representation of Composers, Music Supervisors and Music Editors with offices in LA and London. The roster of talent includes Oscar & Grammy winners as well as some of the world’s most exciting emerging talent. This is an exciting opportunity to join and help grow the European office based in London. Initially, this will be a part-time role with the option to work remotely for the right candidate.
As business manager, this is a hybrid back-room position servicing paralegal requirements, bookkeeping and general business management of the UK Limited company. FAM is an ambitious agency so there is further scope to expand and grow the position within the company.
Knowledge of music copyright is essential, with experience working in accountants and with talent desirable.
Primary Tasks:
- Reviewing and marking up agreements
- Managing payment runs and chasing up invoices
- Coordinate and streamline royalty accounting
- Generating statements and paying clients
- Providing account reports
- Financial/project analyses to help inform company strategy
Personal Specification:
- Must have a passion and enthusiasm for music for Film and TV
- Extensive knowledge of music copyright specifically publishing
- Experience marking up music contracts
- Meticulous to detail
- Organised and persistent in follow ups
- Experience with accounting platforms & software (e.g. Xero)
