About the Role

Springer Nature, the publisher of Nature, is looking to recruit an Interim Associate or Senior Editor for Nature Energy on a fixed term contract. Launched in January 2016, Nature Energy publishes high-quality research and opinion across all aspects of energy, from its generation and storage to its distribution and management, the needs and demands of different actors, and the impacts that energy technologies and policies have on societies. The journal’s scope includes the natural and social sciences as well as economics. We are currently seeking a candidate with broad expertise in energy social sciences. This may include areas such as energy policy and governance, energy economics and market dynamics, societal and behaviour responses to energy technologies and energy transitions, and energy justice and equity. This role can be located in our London or Milan offices on a hybrid working model. This position is offered on a fixed-term contract until 31st January 2027.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Chief Editor and a team of editors on all aspects of the editorial process, including manuscript selection, commissioning, editing of Reviews, Perspectives, Comments, and other content, as well as writing for the journal.
