Job Overview

Administrative Officer is responsible for translation & proofreading activities, ensuring quality work is delivered; providing assistance to the Admissions Officer in providing application advice and interview preparation advice for high-end applicants as well as the management of freelancers.

Key Tasks

  • Be responsible for translation and proof-reading work referred.
  • Provide proof-reading and translation services both internally and externally.
  • Assure quality work is delivered consistently and meets the required standard.
  • Ensure that all tasks meet given deadlines with quick turnaround time.
  • Be responsible for translations quality checks for UKEC branches and provide feedback.
  • Coordinate and conduct translator recruitment tests for PAC and UKEC branches.
  • Oversee, maintain, recruit, and train a high-quality freelancing translation and proof-reading team.
  • Provide professional consultation on G5 and PhD applicants regarding document preparation and application follow-up.
  • Brief students to prepare for admission related interviews.
  • Always maintain an excellent level of customer service.
  • Ensure good collaboration and effective communication across all departments.
  • Undertake any other relevant duties as delegated by line manager.

Requirements

  • Strong academic background in English or related fields; IELTS 7.0+ is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to independently draft and revise application documents (e.g., Personal Statements, CVs, Letters of Recommendation) with clarity, accuracy, and polished language.
  • Prior experience in admissions essay/document writing; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Capable of addressing client and internal team inquiries regarding document writing; strong communication and customer service.
