The UCL School of Management is home to UCL’s business and management research and education programmes. Teaching Assistants (TAs) will supplement academic lectures through the delivery of group teaching (for example, in seminars and workshops) and associated duties for students taking modules in the School of Management. Associated duties may include marking of coursework and exams. The post holder will report to the leader of the module(s) they support, and the appointment will be available from 21st September 2026 to 30 June 2027. Salary is £21.68 per hour plus an additional market supplement of £12.54 per hour, making a total of £34.52 per hour (please note, marking is paid at different rates depending on the type of marking and length of scripts).

The ideal candidate will be educated to Master’s level, or hold equivalent or professional qualifications and experience, in a management-related field relevant to the course modules of interest. They will demonstrate a basic understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts, including their application within marketing analytics, alongside knowledge of causal inference methods and an appreciation of their importance in analytics and data-driven decision-making processes. They will also demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation, enabling them to engage confidently with students as well as academic and administrative staff at all levels.

The successful candidate will have proficiency in Python, R and other programming languages, as well as experience using tools such as Power BI and a range of AI technologies. Strong organisational and time management skills are essential, supported by a keen attention to detail. In addition, they will show a clear commitment to supporting students through the provision of dedicated office hours for coursework support and academic guidance.
