The UCL School of Management is home to UCL’s business and management research and education programmes. About the role

The UCL School of Management’s team of Receptionists and Facilities Administrators will provide both a reception and facilities management service at Levels 38, 48, 49 and 50 of 1 Canada Square and administrative support to School staff. In addition to ensuring a professional and welcoming front of house service to students, staff and visitors, they will be responsible for managing facilities issues, monitoring room bookings, supporting the Executive Assistants and providing logistical support for events.

Please note that the post holder will be expected to work occasional flexible hours to suit the needs of the School, e.g. they may be required to work in the evening or weekends to support School activities. This role will require the post holder to work from 10 am – 6 pm or 8 am – 4 pm (depending on demand), Monday - Friday.

Salary – UCL Grade 6 £36,433 to £41,833 pa (including London allowance)

About you

The successful candidate will have a good general education to at least A-level standard or equivalent experience, along with knowledge of fire safety, health and safety regulations, and facilities management. They will have experience in delivering excellent customer service and providing facilities and administrative support within a complex organisation, as well as strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet use.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact tactfully and effectively in writing and verbally. The postholder must be able to assess risk, resolve facilities issues, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive data. They should be capable of working independently, taking responsibility for service standards, and knowing when to seek support, while also contributing proactively as part of a team.
