About the role

We are looking to appoint a qualified professional to act as tutor for the second year of the UCL Notarial Practice Course, supporting the development of teaching and learning materials, maintaining a module Moodle page, running notarial practice workshops, preparing assessments to monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to students, and marking formative and summative assessments.

The module is taught partly through on-line materials and exercises, and partly through classes held in London. We anticipate this part-time role (0.4 FTE) will work on average two days per week, but exact working pattern and contracted hours will be agreed with the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be appointed at Grade 7 on UCL's salary scale, and the full-time equivalent salary listed will be pro-rated for part time appointments.

About you

The successful candidate will be a qualified notary in possession of a current practising certificate, with comprehensive and up to date knowledge of notarial practice and an enthusiasm for imparting this to new entrants to the profession.

As an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, the role holder will be an engaging educator, work effectively as a member of a team, and be able to convey complex ideas clearly and to support students’ learning through constructive and developmental feedback.
