About the role: University College London (UCL) wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Conflict Resilient Infrastructure (Empower Ukraine Project). The post holder will be based at The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, a world‑leading faculty ranked #1 in the world for Built Environment studies and #1 in the UK for its research environment. The post holder will carry out teaching, research, and programme administration within the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, in the field of Conflict Resilient Infrastructure, consistent with the vision and mission of the School. This is a full time, fixed‑term contract for 1 year starting as soon as possible.
About you: The successful applicant will be expected to have fluency in both Ukrainian and English, a strong understanding of Eurocodes and their application to design and infrastructure. They should have proven teaching experience in civil, structural, or infrastructure engineering disciplines and demonstrated experience in developing and delivering courses or learning materials. The appointee is required to have a PhD in Civil Engineering, the ability to contribute to academic writing, including peer‑reviewed publications and conference outputs, and evidence of contribution to research activities within a higher education or research environment. The successful candidate will be able to work harmoniously with staff and students of all cultures and backgrounds and possess excellent stakeholder liaison and/or public engagement skills.
