The post holder will be a part of the Faculty Education Administration and Student Experience team who work together in a close network of teams that support all our students. They will also work as part of one or several programme teams incorporating close working with professional services and academic staff.

About the role

  • Salary: UCL Grade 7 (£43,981 - £52,586 per annum, including London Allowance, pro-rata for part-time roles)
  • Duration: The advertised post is a maternity cover until 27/01/2026 or until substantive post holder returns to post.
  • Work Pattern: This is part time role at 0.5FTE (18.25hrs per week)

The post holder will oversee the work of a small team of specialist staff who are supporting postgraduate research (PGR) degrees ensuring effective procedures are adopted and documented for dealing with all aspects of the administration. The post holder will lead the team in achieving a high quality and timely service to current and prospective students and staff related to the designated PGR degrees. They will coordinate all tasks relating to PGR student administration, from enquiry to completion, including supporting committees and processes relating to student records. They will work closely with Divisional / Institute / Departmental and Faculty PGR tutors to ensure a seamless service to students and supervisors.

About you

  • The successful candidate will be Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent (e.g. NVQ Level 3).
  • Have experience of providing administrative support in an education environment.
  • Have good computer skills and be able to coordinate priorities, tasks, and the workload of a team to ensure that objectives are achieved and deadlines are met.
