UCL Careers provides careers education to current students, graduates and staff of UCL, as well as recruitment solutions for employers. UCL Careers delivers both a university‑wide ‘core’ service and bespoke careers support within selected academic areas, including the UCL School of Management (SoM).

The UCL School of Management is home to UCL’s business and management research and education programmes, with a reputation for world‑leading teaching and research in areas such as innovation, technology‑intensive organisations, business analytics and entrepreneurship. The School is also a member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools.

Reporting into the PGT Team Leader (UCL School of Management), the role holder will contribute to the planning and delivery of a comprehensive Careers and Professional Development Programme for postgraduate students interested in Technology, Data Science, AI, Business Analytics and Marketing roles. This includes (but is not limited to) students on specialist programmes such as MSc Business Analytics and MSc Marketing Science.

You will help students to understand the talent expectations of employers such as global technology companies, financial institutions, consulting groups, marketing agencies, digital media and advertising agencies. You will design and deliver workshops, coaching, and application support, and help students to excel in associated recruitment processes. The role also involves building strong working relationships with academic colleagues, employer partners, alumni, and professional services staff, and contributing to both curricular and co‑curricular employability activity.

About you: You will ideally bring knowledge and corporate experience from one or more of the following areas: analytics, marketing, or similar data‑driven roles. Experience supporting technology, analytics or marketing‑focused students or early‑career cohorts within a university or business school context would be particularly helpful.

You should be an excellent communicator and facilitator, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and to develop strong working relationships. Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead, prioritise effectively, and evaluate the impact of your work are essential. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an international student body and partners across UCL, industry, and the global alumni community. The role will suit someone who enjoys trying new approaches, working in a dynamic environment, and supporting the career development of others.

What we offer:

  • 41 days’ holiday (27 days annual leave, 8 bank holidays, 6 closure days)
  • Option to purchase 5 additional days’ annual leave
  • Defined benefit career average revalued earnings pension scheme (CARE)
  • Cycle to work scheme, season ticket loan, and immigration loan
  • Relocation support for eligible posts
  • On-site nursery and gym
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay
  • Staff Support Service (employee assistance programme)
