The Role:
We are looking to recruit a Criminal Duty Solicitor to join our busy and respected team covering Barrow-in-Furness and Kendal (on rota). This role offers an excellent opportunity for a duty accredited solicitor with at least 12 months experience in criminal law who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and progressive firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent and advise clients on a wide range of criminal matters
- Attend police stations and courts as part of the duty solicitor scheme
- Manage caseloads effectively using the firms case management system
- Deliver excellent client care and communication
- Participate in the out-of-hours police station rota
- Promote the firms full range of services
You will have:
- Duty Solicitor accreditation and eligibility for duty solicitor schemes
- At least 12 months experience in criminal law
- Strong organisational and case management skills
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- A proactive and professional approach
