This isn’t a standard technician role on a production line. You’ll be working in a highly specialised engineering environment supporting advanced aerodynamic testing programmes for aerospace and defence applications. The work is hands-on, varied and technical - involving the setup, operation and maintenance of complex test rigs, mechanical systems and specialist measurement equipment used in high-performance testing environments.

You’ll be part of a team preparing and operating large-scale test facilities, assembling models and rigs, troubleshooting issues, and helping ensure testing is delivered safely, accurately and on schedule. The role combines:

  • Mechanical assembly and rigging
  • Facility operation and calibration
  • Specialist instrumentation and measurement systems
  • Continuous improvement of equipment and processes
