The UKSV Data Protection & Information Management Team is responsible for managing key elements of the UKSV Data Protection and Information Management and ensuring UKSV protects the information we process and store on our systems and in our Archive Library. This rewarding role offers you the opportunity to develop your data protection and information security knowledge and management skills to help in the development and implementation of the UKSV's data protection policy and processes across all areas of our pivotal and interesting work.
As Data Protection and Information Security Coordinator, your roles and responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:
- Reporting and investigating potential data breaches in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with GDPR and managing the incident until closure.
- Logging and responding to Data Subject Access Requests in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Managing the physical archive library in Imphal Barracks York.
- Ensuring compliance with data retention policies and overseeing the day to day running of the library processes.
- Managing the Google and ROSA SharePoint libraries ensuring compliance with Cabinet Office storage and data retention policies.
- ROSA information management, pool management and train the trainer.
- Undertaking regular system audits and any audits linked to data breach investigations.
- Providing advice and guidance on security and data protection matters including maintaining our DPIM information pages on the UKSV Hub and delivering our mandatory DPIM course to all staff on induction and annually, as well as presenting to key stakeholders and staff at forums, visits and meetings.
- This role may include line management responsibilities.
