DVSA's Connected and Automated Mobility Services (CAMS) programme is delivering the UK's pioneering In-Use Regulation Scheme for self-driving vehicles. As IURS Delivery Manager, you will lead the development and day-to-day operation of this high-profile regulatory service, ensuring robust governance, data and processes. Working closely with government, regulators and industry, you will build capability, lead investigations, develop a high-performing team and represent DVSA in complex, technically evolving and nationally significant engagements shaping the future of road safety.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:

  • Support the development and implement the In-Use Regulation scheme (IURS) for automated vehicles.
  • Own the operational model and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the IURS, including incident triage, case management, escalations, and closure.
  • Oversee in-use reporting from Authorised Self Driving Entities (ASDEs) and No-User-in-Charge Operators (NUiCOs), working with DVSA Digital partners to maintain secure, compliant data flows and analytics.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary incident investigations (from traffic infractions to serious collisions), liaising with the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA), law enforcement, local authorities, and statutory investigators.
  • Undertake and lead on investigations where the business dictates. This will include scoping the investigation/audit, conducting full and thorough investigations in-line with legislation and internal procedures, carrying out testing, and production of quality investigation reports.
  • Act as DVSA's operational lead with the Department for Transport (DfT)/Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV), VCA, local authorities, operators, and other government bodies on IURS service matters and joint delivery.

£44,241 per year. The following locations have a London Weighting Allowance of £4,000: Enfield, Dartford, Uxbridge and Hayes. Permanent Full time.
