A rare opportunity to shape the future of maritime training and support the seafarers of tomorrow. The UK Chamber of Shipping is seeking a new Director for the Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB), a pivotal role at the heart of UK seafarer training and education.

The successful candidate will be passionate about ensuring the UK continues to deliver world‑leading seafarer training and provide the best possible experience for the next generation of maritime professionals. As Director, you will work closely with the MNTB Board to shape the organisation’s strategy and be a member of the Chamber of Shipping’s senior leadership team. You will oversee all aspects of the MNTB’s operations, ensuring its key objectives remain aligned with industry needs and regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a strategic‑thinking, industry‑credible, collaborative leader with a good understanding of maritime education and training, proven management experience, and the ability to convene a wide range of trusted stakeholders to deliver objectives. Salary: c£80k (plus generous pension and benefits package)

Location: London / Hybrid

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Please Note: Unfortunately, the UK Chamber of Shipping is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position, and only candidates with existing eligibility to work in the UK will be considered.
