The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
You’ll play a key role as our Estates Maintenance Officer, helping our Workplace Team who deliver a range of hard and soft facilities services, including engineering, maintenance, building compliance, catering, reception and fleet vehicle management.
You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and outstanding customer service.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Oversee all routine scheduled inspections and maintenance tasks of both premises and a wide range of equipment, is carried out to legal compliance and high levels of service standards

Take a lead role with contractor management by ensuring the work carried out meets the required standards, carrying out inductions, preparing permits to work and ensuring contractors are working safely across the UKCEH estate to provide safe environments for all internal and external stakeholders

Respond to reactive work requests for the Workplace team, these range from a multiple of tasks such as cleaning, moving and handling and basic maintenance of equipment, plant and building to ensure that the Workplace Team are providing a first-class service to all internal and external stakeholders

Work in conjunction with the Workplace Managers to ensure the building meets legal compliance in a multiple of disciplines such as, but not limited to, fire regulations, legionella, asbestos and all mechanical and electrical regulations

Support the administration duties of the Workplace Team by covering reception when required, postal duties and basic document management and retention to ensure Workplace team systems are maintained and kept up to date, allowing the Workplace Team to report accurate data and ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved.

To support the Workplace Manager in ensuring maintenance reports, audit reports and health and safety notices supplied to the Workplace Team around building compliance are reviewed and all remedial actions are undertaken and managed throughout, providing safe buildings across the UKCEH estate

Trade qualification or experience in either plumbing / electrical / joinery or relevant experience
