UKCEH is looking for an experienced Soft Services Facilities Manager to join our team of talented individuals, contributing to scientific discovery and generating the data, insights and solutions that researchers, businesses and governments need to solve complex environmental challenges. In this role, you’ll manage a team of site services professionals, ensuring top-quality service delivery while maintaining smooth day-to-day operations. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the delivery of site services, including cleaning, security, catering, waste management, and reception services at the Wallingford site.
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of site services staff, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Implement and maintain quality standards for all site services, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with external contractors to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
- Ensure all site services activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to achieve operational goals.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address site services needs and issues.
- Support and implement sustainable practices within site services to minimise environmental impact.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of site services, using KPIs and other metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to site services promptly and effectively.
- Provide support and coverage for other sites as required, ensuring consistent service delivery across all locations.
For the role of Soft Services Facilities Manager, we’re looking for somebody who has:
- Experience in facilities management.
- Supported the development and implementation of incident response plans to handle emergencies and ensure the safety and security of all site users.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality site services.
- Experience in coordinating with external contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
- Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
