UK Biocentre is expanding its Commercial function, and we are looking for a Sales Lead Generation Officer to play a central role in driving the early stages of our sales pipeline. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organised, confident in communication, and motivated by contributing to business growth through high-quality lead generation and relationship‑building.

About the Role

As our Sales Lead Generation Officer, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and nurturing prospective customers, ensuring a strong pipeline of opportunities for our Scientific Sales team. You will support follow‑up from marketing activity, maintain accurate CRM records, and help ensure seamless handover of vetted leads across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and qualify potential customers through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn and research tools.
  • Conduct initial conversations to assess needs and suitability.
  • Support the sales pipeline by scheduling meetings and ensuring continuous lead flow.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date CRM records to support forecasting and decision making.
  • Follow up on marketing campaigns, events and digital enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support across sales activities.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging potential customers.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable carrying out structured outbound calling and high‑volume activity.
  • Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
  • Good IT literacy, including email, Excel and online research tools.
