We are seeking a motivated and commercially driven Junior Business Development Manager with approximately 5 years of experience in selling advanced engineering and manufacturing services, particularly within the battery technology sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a dynamic and innovative organisation at the forefront of battery manufacturing, prototype development, and engineering consultancy. The selected candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the delivery of high-value technical solutions. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the battery manufacturing and energy storage sectors.
- Engage with clients to understand their technical and commercial needs, and propose tailored solutions across prototype builds, process development, and consultancy services.
- Follow the internal process to develop commercial proposals and submissions in collaboration with technical and commercial teams.
- Negotiate and win new business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including OEMs, suppliers, research institutions, and government bodies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform strategic planning and identify growth areas.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote our capabilities and expand our network.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular reporting on pipeline development, sales performance, and customer feedback.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or technical sales within advanced engineering services, battery manufacturing, or other related manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record in selling complex technical services such as prototype manufacturing, process development, or engineering consultancy.
- Strong understanding of battery technologies and electrochemistry (e.g., Li-ion, solid-state), battery manufacturing processes, and industry trends is a bonus.
